Overall Width of BX2350/BX24

I had a BX22, and am now comparing my experience with that tractor to others that I'm looking at. The Kubota web site says that the overall width of the new BX series is 32.? something inches. That seems narrower than I remember. Could someone check out the width to the outside of the rear tires on theirs for me? Thanks in advance!

Chuck, I'm at work and our new BX24 is home resting in the garage, but I have the manual here and it gives the overall width as 45.1 inches (1145 mm). I'll check what ours measures with R4's on it, but that seems about right.

The rear tread (wheel track center-to-center) is listed at 32.2 inches, so maybe that's what the web page was reporting. I bet the web site has a page editing error.

I just went through this myself. If you're looking for the widest point of the tractor it's not the tires !! It's the stabilizers.

I had a just under 5 foot doorway I needed to get through and the tire width was the least of the problem. The stabilizers are roughly 54 inches wide when up (give or take a couple inches, I have not measured). I've scrapped the door opening a couple times because of such little clearance.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply! Your 45.1" figure sure sounds more right than the 32.4" figure on Kubota's web site, though they had it listed as "overall width". I'm sure you are right about that number being the rear tread width. Thanks again.

I was comparing height/width ratios, etc. I used to keep a small ratchet strap on my stabilizers since I ran into a problem with them sometimes if they drooped at all. Thanks for all the input.

I just took a quick measure of my BX2350 at 44" sidewall to sidewall.

Just checked my BX24 and it's just under 44" sidewall to sidewall in the rear with R4 tires.

Outer point of stabilizer pads measured 56", but they might have sagged a little since being put full up.
