I bought a quick attach over running coupler to put on my L2800. My plan was for the new OC to replace the internal one on the tractor, so I wouldn't have to hear the racheting coming from inside the tractor. I just don't like the racheting noise coming from inside the tractor - I know it is supposed to work like that, but it just sounds like it is tearing something up. Now, when I press the clutch with my mower running the internal still ratchets and the quick attach clutch rachets a little as well. Is there any way to adjust the quick attach over running clutch so that it absorb all of the force and none will be passed on to the internal OC? Somehow lighten the load it takes to initiate the racheting?

I can clutch and disengage the pto at the same time and get rid of the racheting completely, but sometimes I forget.

Don't know about the new over running clutches but my old 10 year old over running clutch uses a lot of grease.

I don't think so, other than welding the internal parts. :)

Let it do what it's designed to do. Try not to overthink it.
