If you try treated plywood, make sure it's rated for ground contact.

The treated plywood sold by my local Home Depot is not so rated. It's sold mostly for decking with air circulation underneath. It lasted about 2 years and pretty much disintegrated when I tried using it as a base for storing implements.
That's good information to know, Thanks!

Thanks for that possible source ning, I'll look there "again" next time I wish I had some on hand for a quick project.
Jigs-, Thanks for your list of possible suppliers...they are not what I have in my area and not of much use for whenever I might need a sheet or 4 to do a project; I'll keep the list handy if I ever need to order a truckload!
Most wholesalers will tell you what retailers they sell to if you ask.

If you can find someone on CraigsList or similar in your area that sells used commercial swimming pool covers, they are great, both as tarps and ground cover. Most commercial pools are required to replace their pool covers long before the material goes bad from the UV and chlorine. Around here in Sac, they are available cheap, are huge, and can be cut into whatever size you need. They are extremely thick and strong, since they are required to take the weight of someone on them while covering a pool... not like a tarp. I lay a piece of that down, or whatever else would be going to the dump that would work as ground cover, and then a pallet on top to hold the piece of equipment. The pallet protects whatever you are using for the actual ground cover, even heavy-mil black plastic, plus lifts the equipment off the ground. If you have a forklift, then also easy to move it around on the pallet. Sometimes you can find an above-ground pool for free to haul away, and that heavy vinyl can be cut into useful pieces. Even old carpet works for two or three years.

I wonder where you can find that? Pressure Treated Plywood!!!!!
It's non-existent here as far as I've been told by my lumber supplier?
I've wanted pressure treated plywood several times for various projects and have been told "That's not available"....yet, "Maybe it is???" Enlighten me, is it called something unique and that's why I can't get it?? Am I asking my supplier the wrong question??
San Marcos Home Depot, recently purchased some thier.

We have some pallets made out of Juniper, they don't rot at all.
Just move them 2 times in the spring to mow where they sit. The desert dry conditions take care of the undergrowth the rest of the summer.
