we dont feed, in fact the game commission gave me rubber buck shot in case they get to friendly, rubber buck shot is what they use after they trap/relocated a bear, when they let the bear out of the trap they stand in the bed of there truck and lay into him/her with the rubber buck, they say once hit by rubber buck shot they wont come back

Story about bear relocation-
Many years ago in the 70's I had a friend who worked on the Blue Ridge Parkway as a Ranger, he lived at the Mt Pisgah Campgound south of Asheville.
Anyway bear problem in campground, trapped bear then moved him say 30 miles up the parkway and released.

A couple of days later he was back!
Trapped him again and moved him say 60 miles up the parkway.

Week goes by, he's back!
Trapped a third time and hauled 250 miles away.

Never saw him again.

Lead buckshot has a similar effect

Tags generally are attached when a bear has been trapped and re-located.
Guess that guy has visited the trap a couple of times and hopefully has not become 'trap shy'.
