Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and the Needle.

Many of you viewed the Academy Awards lately and have seen all the other awards shows, so now it is time for us to award our own group of talented posters. We need to present the awards for the best threads, and since needle goes with thread, I suggest we call our award the NEEDLE.

Now, who should we give the Needle to this year? I will start it off with my suggestions for some categories and my nominations. Do you have any favorites that you would like to add?

Wow! Dudley. . . . I think the "needle" goes with the Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy. I think lots of those folks are either on the needle or recovering from the needle.

...and my favorite thread for "makin' the big time" has to go to rox for her olive oil awards thread.

Sounds like a fun idea, but picking a "best of" sure would be tough. I was just thinking of the guys building homes this year. Each are totally different, but they have all gone out of their way to document and share the process with us to a truly amazing level. There's just no way to pick who has done a better job, they are all awesome!!!

I've always thought it would be really cool if there was a rating that we could give a thread and those that get a certain amount of votes would go into a hall of fame type area. It's really sad when a great thread dies out and dissapears. New guys come on here and have no idea of some truly impressive projects that have been done by people on here. Things from home made attachements, to improvments on there land to creating barns of all sorts.

I don't know what the criteria should be for those threads, but maybe those with 30,000 views? Those seem to be pretty popular threads with allot of information in them. Of course, the more specialized threads that area really good would be missed, so that might be where a rating system would have to be used.
