I'm going through some significant "ComfortGuard Cab withdrawl" right now. Of course I knew I would when I sold the 4720. A Minnesota winter, climate change or no climate change, demands some help for the tractor operator.
So, my trusty JD dealer orders me the weather enclosure for the 3720. I picked it up on Tuesday and started the assembly this morning. 6 hours later its pretty much done. I need to install the windshield wiper, fan, and front work lights but I ran out of time and ambition. The instructions could be a little more clear but the folks at Original were quite helpful over the phone to get me through a tough spot.
So here are a few pictures. The cab is actually of decent quality. I was a little worried when I started as the pieces seemed a little flimsy at first. But once everything was tightened down it seems pretty sturdy. I can't trailer it with the doors and canvas on but I think it should hold up for quite a few years.
Its not the quality of the Curtis Cab that I had on my New Holland but its a $1000 less. The Curtis Cab has the safety glass rear window instead of the flexible plastic that Original uses. The doors are lighter as well and the latches are not as professional. It also doesn't seal around the tractor quite as well as the Curtis but I think it will work pretty well.
