I was wondering if anybody has any hands-on review or comparison of a TC21D -VS- B2700 I am mostly interested in landscaping chores and alot of loader work and possably adding a backhoe in the future. Which is the tractor more likely to require less problems and get tough jobs done. Also, how reliable is the 4 cylinder engine in the B2710, is that a better choice than the TC21D's 3 cylinder or the B2410's 4 cylinder? I know I have narrowed down my next or I should say first tractor to either TC21D, B2410 or B2700

I'd say the question should be how reliable is the NH engine? I can't remember seeing any of those engines used in someone elses machine when Kubota's are used through out the lawn and garden industry to power most all types of machinery. The exta size of a 2710 would be a plus for your jobs as well as the three range transmission for loader work.

fyi, the 2410 has a 3 cylinder engine

Franco,

This close to Halloween, I can't see how you could go wrong with "Orange" and a "Black" FEL.

Franco,

Funny how these orange guys haven't mentioned that you are comparing a 21 hp New Holland to a 24 and 27 hp Kubota!
To get a little closer to apples to apples, compare the TC25 to the B2410!

If you want to get even closer to Apples to Apples, compare a TC25 to a L3010 HST. To me compairing a Boomer to a B series Kubota isn't a good Apples to Apples comparison. To me a B series is closer to a true compact, and a Boomer is a scaled down Ag unit, if you look at weight vs HP and the all around build you will see there is a good difference between a Boomer and a B series Kubota.

As Jim mentioned, I wouldn't call this fair comparison... the B2710 is in a completely different class than the TC21D.

Compare TC21D to the B7500 or B2710 to the TC25D or JD 4200. In that 3-way, it is almost too close to call, but the JD and NH have the weight advantage, if that's what you're looking for.

If you go down a size to the 3-way TC21D vs B2410 vs 4100 comparison, I would say the B2410 has the advantage, but it is 3hp more. Price comes into play here. B2410 (if my facts are correct - please correct me if I'm wrong) is priced about the same as the two smaller machines here.

If you go up a size to the TC29D vs B2910 vs 4300 comparison, I would say it is a tossup between blue and green since you're planning loader and possibly backhoe work with this tractor ... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
