Opti-Lube Oil Fortifier

Anyone used it? I got a flier for it in my XPD order. A search here didn't yield any results.

I'm assuming "oil fortifier" is an additive of some sort? If so, then my answer would have to take the form of an open question to pretty much all of the oil additive peddlers everywhere:

If you don't know what additives, or the quantity of those additives the oil I'm currently using with already contains, how do you come up with a recipe for the additive cocktail you're selling?

My opinion of additives in general may change at some point. I might open a maintenance manual some time in the future and come across something like this:

"After completely draining the engine oil and replacing the filter, refill the crankcase with "X" quantity of oil meeting service classification "Y". Do not over-fill, as you'll need room to add 1/2 cup of Honest Bob's Magical Oil Elixir."

The major oil suppliers have spent a ton of money researching and testing various formulas for their HD gas and diesel service crankcase products. Care is taken to balance the additive package to the particular base oil, so performance can be predictable. To just dump in additives or supplements at will, is probably undoing a product that would have been better left as is. Delo 400 is factory fill at Peterbilt and Kenworth, it would be pointless to try and improve that situation with a magic formula supplement.
