Tiller Opinions wanted on Kubota FS1000 tiller.

Opinions wanted on Kubota FS1000 tiller before I buy. Friend has a Kubota FS1000 48 tiller. I would say it is in fair shape. See photos (I will post if I can figure out how on my phone). What should I be looking for as far as any issues or known problems? Ideally, I would have wanted a wider tiller, as it will be used on a L3200 Kubota. He is asking $500. Is that a fair price?

I am not familiar with Kubota tillers (I have Maschio)but the price is OK for a working 48" tiller in fair condition!

Have you checked if aftermarket tines are available for this model?

You REALLY want a wider tiller. With 48" you're not going to cover either tire track. My B7800 is 54" wide. My tiller is 60".
