Mowing Opinions on mowing on a 3320 with R4's?

Mike, looks like you have some fairly steep areas around your pond. Do you go sideways in those areas or up and down. We too have a few steep areas and I'm not sure how to mow (don't have my tractor yet). But from your pic, it looks similar to mine.

I go up and down where I can with the 3320. I can cut about 3/5ths of the sides of the pond with the 3320. For the steep sides with water at the bottom I get out the Simplicity 4041 Powermax tractor (19hp with 60" MMM) and use it to mow them as I can literally sit on its metal fenders and keep the weight controlled. I do not take any risk of rolling my $17K 3320!! My pond has VERY steep sides though so I just truy and be safe. One day I will buy a tilt meter just to see how steep the sides are. Pucker meter sure does tell me it is too steep to have the 3320 on it. Be careful if yours resemble mine. I do not know how my neighbor with a JD 4040 old school 2WD mows his steep grades even with a cab!!
