There are at least 3 threaded holes that are empty on my new 5065e. One appears to go into the transmission. The other two appear to go into the chassis in front of the transmission, near where your feet would sit on the platform. Does anyone know what these are for or why they're there? Just curious. Thanks

Two guesses, not in any specific order. First would be a piece of equipment you don't own. Second would be they're used during assembly to hold things in place from an out-of-the-way position.

Here's an example of why there are unused threaded holes on some tractor models that utilize the similar parts components. These cab mounts bolt to clutch housing.

Might be an idea to plug them just to keep crap and rust out as someday you may find them to be useful.

Older new JD's(2 cyl) tractor threaded holes were plugged with corks
