This is from my PHD. I don't know how I bent it. I was drilling holes to plant some 24" box trees, hand loading the spoils into the bucket and moving them to a spoil pile. I went to loosen up some more soil and found the shaft bent. The only thing I can think of is that the fish tail only sits about 4" above grade and might have dropped when I was backing up, somehow twisting the shaft.
Anyway, a rosebud and a large vice got it back within a tolerable amount. It has a slight wobble now.
