Onother use for the new tractor

Probably nothing new to you old timers, but I thought it worked great.

Pulled out the travel trailer to "summerize" it, and had a flat tire. The rubber valve stem had cracked where it goes thru the rim. Not wanting to drive to the tire store (also, I'm cheap), I looked for a way to break the bead loose. Spotted the new Kioti, and thought why not.

Placed the tire flat on the concrete and had the better half locate the edge of the front bucket on the tire sidewall just a snicker away from the rim. I stood on the tire to keep it from flipping up as the wife slowly lowered the bucket. Popped the bead clean as a whistle. Reached inside, removed the cracked stem, installed a new metal one, put air to it and reseated the bead.
5 minutes later, the tire was back on the trailer. Took less time than just the paying portion would have at the tire store. Also saved the $20 minimum fee for a flat repair...

Let's see, $20 deducted from the cost of the tractor.... only 1099 more tire repairs, and I'll have saved enough to pay for the tractor.....

You'll find lots of uses for that bucket. I've done the same using mine. Have also used a board on the tire and drove up it with the truck. Have also used a bumper jack on the tire edge. Thanks for sharing.

I see you have a hoe, you can also use the foot on the hoe and see what your doing if you alone

Today I used my fel to load three junk cars I needed to get rid of. I lifted the front end up with a chain so he could back his trailor under the car which had no tires. I could then push from the back to get the car far enough onto the trailor. Luckily the Scout had tires so i could push it up the ramp because I couldn't pick the hunk of metal up at all. The ones I could pick up were a Civic and a Celica.
