Someone had once told me what it meant (gangs,drugs,bullies) and then I saw a "Cops" type of program on one of the learning channels. An officer when questioned about the sneakers on the lines said that it meant you can buy drugs in the immediate area.

I think sneakers over the power lines just mean that the person who did it is not the person who bought the shoes. If they had to buy the shoes with their own money, they wouldn't be so likely to toss them. ...just my theory. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All I know is that he had me woried for a while -- I thought maybe it meant the same thing as wearing an earring in the left ear...or is it the right ear? Or, no earrrings at all? How the heck do I know what anything means? I'm almost 64 years old, for criminy's sake...
