Trivia fact. '69 is the only year Mustangs have been built with four headlights.

I dont know about that, I have seen some other years of mustangs with scantily clad young ladies on the hood adding two headlights.

IMHO, that is the cream of the crop. I like the Mustang too, but a 1969 Z/28 is the muscle car even if it didn't have the most muscle.

I will have to look for the picture... didn't own a camera back then but a friend took a few shots as I was driving a twisty country road...

I guess it will be the one that always got away.

Have heard some that track down VIN numbers of past cars for nostalgia or to purchase...

Like most things having a proper/safe place to store is key... have a 66 mustang pony I bought to restore for Mom years ago... it has been outside for decades... she feared it would get stolen if it was her driver... and she is probably right.

Instead she drove a 76 Rabbit for about 20 years and no one ever bothered it!

Sure it was a 428???

AFAIK the early SD's were all 389's and 421's unless that was a factory experimental before the production 428's were introduced in 1967

Ooops yes 421.
