Hi all . Had A Dr. appointment today so I decided to stop at the dealers. They have three 3520s and three 3720s boy are they sweet!!!! They look bigger than the old tens. No loaders or backhoes to be seen. Mike

Hey Dutch, what part of NY? Im in Rochester area. I was lookin at the 4210s, but been hearing they are underpowered. Do You feel the slight improvment in the 3120 wil make much differance? Mike

Mike,
that was the pic of the engine on the 3120,
quite a bit different than the 10 series.. doesn't resemble
anything like it.

I noticed what looks to be an inline hydraulic filter down along the frame, it looks similar to what used to be at the back of the tractor near the rockshaft..

I had a family urgency this morning, and haven't yet even had a chance to get out and run it a bit, but it's blowing and snowing here today, pretty nasty out. I'll see what this afternoon brings.

Where in line and price do these tractors fall compared to 4310 ? Are these a higher grade? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Define higher grade. The engines have bit more power (and are emissions compliant), some features added, some taken away (pushbutton MFWD), the prices increased, and they are cheaper to produce.
The big winner here is Deere. They're doing things they should have done on the 4000TEN series to lower the cost of production.
Bottom line, the 3000 Series is "best in class" and priced accordingly.

Where is this? My dealer has tried unsuccessfully to order the 3720. Still waiting...

Also, does the hood hit the muffler when propped open like the 4000-20's?

The hood is real close to hitting the muffler, wouldn't take much of a breeze to hold it against it.
I would imagine Deere doesn't feel it's an issue, there's now insulation that I remember seeing in that area..

The 1 pc hood/skirt is a neat idea, but it either needs dual props, or some lateral stabilization of the prop rod. I plan to modify my exhaust on my 3720 so it should be a non issue. Looking to try to straight pipe it if it doesn't get too loud. The 4000-20's lay the corner of the hood right on the muffler...

On another note, Deere finally opened the gates and started taking orders for the 3720's! Delivery date Mar 2. This has me almost as excited as when I was waiting for my 2002 Silverado (first ever new truck and a Dmax no less) which is pretty substantial since I did not get too wound up over mt 2005 Silverado...
