Omni-Mfg Hitch with Weight Bar

Thought I'd post what I purchased from Omni-MFG in case anyone else was in the market for the same thing I needed. I needed a trailer hitch and also something to add weight so that loader use was safer and more efficient. The pics attached don't have any weights on the bar (yet) but you'll get the idea.

I am very happy with the purchase. The welds are all clean and all of the metal had all of the sharp edges taken off. This was also sort of custom made for my BX as Omni used heavier metal (something more appropriate for a tractor bigger than a BX) but the dimensions fit the BX perfectly.

Looks good, so the weight adaptor was your creation or that came with the hitch?

I'm assuming your gonna slide lifting weights on the bar and hold in place with a locking collar?

Hi JB,

Nope. Not my idea. My brother got the creative gene not me. This is one of the features of the combo hitch - that being that you can add weight because there's a place for that grey receiver that holds the weight bar in the top of the hitch. This will also go into the lower receiver if there's no need to trailer anything. The grey collars that you see on the bar are spacers which correctly keep the weight plates from banging into the grey component and then the gold collars are the actual locking collars - just don't have them turned so that you could see the allen screws.

And yes, you're right - all I need to do is add some standard size weight plates and I'm good to go. I suspect that this will help a lot as some of the FEL work I've done hasn't been that productive due to not having enough ballast in the back.
