Wow summer flew by and fall will too, revisiting getting a front blower for our XR4140HC, we have a long enough driveway (800') with alot of areas to clean, have been using my F350 with a 8'5" V Blade which works fine but is a PIA to turn around and make tight corners with in yard by house, we get alot of drifting and have alot of areas to clean. Last year was terrible as we had snow piled to the height of my P/U about 50' deep and ran out of areas to push it too. I am away quite a bit so My wife has to clean yard so I am going to break down and get a front blower, after yard is packed down it will be easier I think other than slower

I'm going to be using a combination of plow and blower this year. Lots of local guys telling me how slow it's gonna be blowing all my parking and driveways, while ignoring all the benefits. I pretty much have winters off, and with a cab, who cares if it takes a while!

Good luck to you and the wife!

Lots of snow, tight areas to navigate, driveway berms to clear - a blower is nice. Yes, it's slow but it DOES move snow out of the way. With my first tractor - Ford 1700 - I used a blower on my mile long driveway when the berms closed in. Now with the Kubota M6040 - the heavy rear blade keeps the driveway and all other needed areas open. Fortunately, I never get great heaps of snow and have no drifting.

I also figure buying this would be a guarantee that we don't get much snow, so I will be passing the hat for creating a easy winter

I plow with a v plow on an F350 and then use a blower on nice days to keep the piles and berms knocked back. Works well
