Backhoe Older Kubota B7100/629 backhoe bucket

Dunno how I missed this thread originally. I have the same hoe and also made a 9" bucket for it: smaller-backhoe-bucket. Works pretty well but I find the 16" bucket to be quite handy for trenching. If you go too narrow you can't get down in the trench when running pipe etc. The narrow bucket is also slow when coming to mucking out ditches etc. as you have to make twice as many swings, stuff sticks in the bucket etc.

This is not an industrial hoe so it is not going to dig like one. Maybe you need to repack some of the cylinders to improve performance?

That's exactly what I am doing to my bucket right now, repairing the ear tabs with new bushings. I will have more picture in a few days on other bushings and welding.
