Buying Advice old yanmar compact excavator

Hi, not to double post, but maybe I should ask here if anyone has experience with one of these (older I think) yanmar B3 excavators.

I'm curious what folks think about an yanmar diesel engine with 4000 hours on it. Maybe that's at least middle age?

Looks like they/you found the hour meter, (4000 hours is generally considered overhaul time on a Yanmar compact tractor). Can you get parts for it? Isn't the "reserve" price on Ebay the customer's asking price? I would never pay "asking price" for a big ticket item. That's why so many people are making a living off Ebay and loving it.

For the condition of the machine and the asking price which has to be over 5K I would pass and rent what you need. Imagine being 1/2 into your job and breakdown now the fun begins...Good luck in your decision.

Hi guys, thanks for reply. Yeah I found the hourmeter when I looked at it, said 4004. Not sure what the reserve ebay price is, it's more than what it bid up to. Thinking about it more, having to maintain it and store it, for the amount I need, I probably should rent.
