Dirt Moving Old work horse 60’s , 70’s

I’m looking for a 60’s , 70’ tractor work horse 70-90 hp with a wet clutch and no power shifts . The only one that I am familiar with is the case 930 with the six speed round fenders. The new were square fenders 930 with the eight speed as the dry clutch.

Does anybody know of any others please share?

A 50 to 60 year old tractor is liable to have had multiple owners. Not generally the best scenario for reliability. Parts for old Deere tractors are consistently available but very expensive. Deere has a plant in Waterloo, Iowa dedicated to production of parts for Deere legacy models.

I have put in a few hours operating a Deere Model B from 1949. I'll would not care to replace my current model Kubota with a Deere Model B.

Kioti Rx7320 was delivered today. So happy . Put in a few hours moving bales . So nice .

It has a dry clutch but locally I was a nice looking Ford 5000 the other day showing low hours that was a local sold tractor asking $8700. The shop that I use rebuilds a lot of older heavy tractors. They can be expensive to get fixed up but they will do a lot of work. Some are mainly pulling round balers more than for row cropping.

None of the tractors that I grew up on had wet clutches.
I don't recall a wet clutch till we started seeing power shuttle and or power shifts, and even then many of the power shifts had a dry primary clutch.
Never Had much to do with the larger Cases, as a matter of fact for some reason we only had one Case on the farm growing up and it didn't stay long, it was a little VAC Case, a few neighbors had Case.

I cant recall an older wet clutch tractor. My great uncle had a Case 1030, loved that tractor. I had a MF Super 90 so I understand your want of an older tractor.
Heavy, strong, easy to work on loads of power at low rpm.

What’s your storey with the super 90 ? How did you like it ?

I have a new tractor for my haying, bailing , feeding , seeding and yard needs . That’s taken care of . I just have some small fields to Break , plow ,disc and I Have all the implements that I need to do that requiring 70 to 90 hp and I just don’t want to use my new tractor for the worst of it. Why beat it up if I don’t have to.
