If there is a better place to ask this question, please let me know.

I'm working on cleaning up a few old tractors that have old adhesive-backed labels on them. I've seen them peeling off (adhesive failure) and separating (2 layer label, clear top peeling). Are there good practices for getting labels re-attached as they start peeling? I'd like to just stop the damage rather than replacing the labels.

Thank you, Chris

Once they delaminate or peel, they're toast. Pretty much any brand specific antique tractor parts site has new decals. Off brand - weird decals can be made up, also.

If you're not to picky, cellophane tape will keep them together for awhile. Amazon has some that is 8" wide.

Also dirt bike dealers/aftermarket parts places have big sheets of very durable clear adhesive film for using to put over your number plates and decals to protect them.
