i bought a 4wd '95 1070 tractor a couple of months ago. really good shape, low hours, and the price was right. but, it didn't have a loader. the perceived price/value correlation was too good to pass up, so i started looking around for a loader for my new (too me) beauty. there was a jd 80 loader i found on ebay, but the the seller was a total sleaze so i bailed. i talked with koyker and westendorf, both of which seemed to be ok but didn't have that big of a presence here i colorado. during the first week of december, my wife showed me a decent loader at a decent price from a source i had not considered: john deere.
come to find out john deere was advertising the 300cx loader as fitting the 1070. hmm, i said, and called the john deere dealer in parker. "you sure about this?" the salesman said, and poked around in the jd website for a bit, and then said "well how about that". i ordered one, it came in, and it is now being installed. i'll post pictures when i get the tractor back. this ought to be interesting
