I went to a sale last weekend and came home with some new projects. I picked up this post hole auger for $30 (I will be putting a new PTO shaft on it, unless I can free up the one that's there and I can find a shaft cover for it), I can't find anything on the auger head and the label on the boom has had a "strength helper" welded too it, it looks like he might have been using it as a boom pole as he welded a hook to the boom also. Any idea what make or model it might be?

I also picked up a home built wood splitter for $125, any idea about this valve?
It's marked:
"V 1060 A"
"CA"
"08 67" (I'm guessing Aug '67)

(I was putting new hoses on it and the girlfriend was pointing to which valve port went to what cylinder port so I could remember when we got back from the store)
Also, any recommendations on flushing the cylinder before I hook this thing to my tractor? or is it a non-issue, the oil in the hoses looked ok (no metal)?
I need to do a lot more cleanup and some fixes/additions to stuff but over all *it was a good deal* (Oops, didn't finish my sentence before I hit post - edit)
