I'm considering picking up a 2 bottom plow when I come across something worth while, I've got a kioti dk50se.

I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere in the forums but I haven't seen it, can anyone tell me what brands of the older stuff still has availability for new wear parts, the huge majority of plows I see here are Dearborn plows with the occasional Oliver or a little newer Ford but those are much more rare. Currently there are 2 Dearborn 10-1 in the area online, one looks like the shares are good but one of the moldboards looks to have an issue where someone welded a brace across the back, she wants 550 bucks for that which I believe is quite high, the other one has the tips broken off both shares and he wants 150 for that one, is the 10-1 a plow that parts can be found easily, what brands and models of plows are still serviceable?

I’ve restored several plows. Both were old Ford plows, and I had no trouble finding parts. The old Deere plows would also be good. One warning, make sure you buy a plow with some sort of trip mechanism, either shear bolts or spring trip. When you hit a rock or root, the plow will trip, and nothing will be bent or broken. My first plow had no trip protection, and I destroyed it after two uses. IMG_4903.JPG

I bought a slightly used International World Agritech two bottom plow in the Spring.
Tried it Friday, sheared the “shear bolt”. Replaced with what I had and have plowed a few furrows.

Still learning but its good.

The Ford plow looks great OP>

Prices vary by region, but about 5 years ago I picked up a single bottom Ford 101 plow with new point and coulter for $300. At the time it looked as if it had never been outdoors, even the paint was pristine.
