I was at my grandmother's house today and asked if I could get this saw to run. It was my grandfathers. It has sat in her shed for probly 15 to 20 years. It is a McCULLOCH PRO MAC 10-10.

I cleaned the spark plug and looked it over. I saw the fuel pick-up line had dried on it and I needed to get it out of the tank and after messing with it awhile I finally got it out. I then cleaned the tank out good and aded fuel. The line from the tank to the carb was still in decent shape. Anyway I got it to run and it ran like a top as long as I held the bar up and the fuel could get to the line.

So where can I buy a fuel line kit for it? I remember my grandfather replacing it when I was little. I have another saw but, I would like to get this running.

Also can anyone tell me anything about it? (Size Engine, Hp, anything like that) It appears to be a well built saw. I see no plastic on it except the chain brake.

Thanks to all,

Josh

Sorry, Also How long of a bar could I use on it? I have a 16" on my cheapo saw. So I would like to use with a longer bar.

Thanks again,

Josh

Here's a link to a manual for sale on Ebay, the auction ends today but the price seems OK

I had that same saw. I put a 20 inch bar on it and it worked fine. I paid $115 bucks for it in 1978. Good luck with the saw.

That is the model that broke McCullach.

No shop wants to repair them.

It was cheaper than your cheapee.

Other than changing the chain or starter cord and plug, don't spend any $$ on it.

My opinion.

I had that same saw. I bought it used back in 1973, ran it for over 15 years, I forgot to put oil in the gas. I never had a problem other than breaking the starter ropes. Great saw. Here's some info on your saw.

Got one just like it. Good powerful saw but heavy. Will wear you out if you use it all day. Mine is 30 years old and still perfect. Came with a 16" bar & chain , changed it to 20" years ago. I would not hesitate to put a 24" bar & chain on it if I needed one that big. Saw has plenty of power to pull it. I have an Owners Manual I'll be glad to copy and mail you if you want , just PM me. The manual does not give HP or any other specs , no parts list either , but would think any good small engine / chainsaw shop could help with parts particulars. Manual does have some maint. tips , carb adjusting , etc.

I've got two of them that run and two more that are salvage. I don't think you'll find new parts anywhere. They are screamers when they're tuned right and have a very cool distinctive exhaust note, and yes they'll definitely pull a 20" 3/8 chain.

My advice is to look for a salvage unit(s) on ebay for parts. I've never had much trouble with the fuel system but the pull rope assembly is a poor design on the model you have with the chain brake, so if you buy a parts donor look for a '71+ with the chain brake assembly.
