I've had a fair amount of experience with the "old" one. Do you have the other plowshares for it?

Hy Bird .. long time ... hope this finds you well ... no other plowshares for this one.

It's soon gonna be a wallmount.

Pretty thang it is though ... it has a lot of stories to tell if we're willin to listen ...

Bird,

Your post got me to thinking. Wife has in her flower bed a metal handled version of Dad's old one. Currently it has a "hoe" attachment on it (basically a metal square with a cutting edge). As a kid I used, and I'm sure Dad did for many years used, this tool for his garden.

I recall ours had (and don't think we kept) a plow share that fit on it. We do have a "cultivator", which is about 5 large spoon sized diggers a coupla inches apart.

Were there other attachments for these, or was that it?

I know I spent a lot of hours pushing that thing with the cultivator through the garden rows, and tried to plow with it once, but that was a waste of time! If the dirt was absolutely bare and not too hard, it might work. But any grass and/or hard dirt and it wouldn't do much.

Over the years, our wheel developed some flat spots and wasn't very round, so the unit sorta hopped through the rows!

Have fun,
Ron

Ron, the "cultivator" like DAP has on his was the attachment used all summer, but we also had the single blade (middle buster?) that we used in the Spring to lay out and open the rows to plant the seed, sort of like this one. I can't remember whether there were others or not.

Yep, now I remember using the row making middle buster. Will try to get a pic of the "hoe" on ours and post this weekend. It really did work for small weeds in the garden!
