Old John Deere 1969 110. Is it worth near the asking price?

I have found an ad on craigslist for an old 110. The tractor seems to be about 90% restored. Wondering if $1000 would be a good price to offer or if that still seems steep. Also wondering as to the longevity this mower would get and whether it is capable of mowing a little less than an acre.

In our area, the price is on the upper limit (providing it is as good as it looks). If the engine is in good shape, it will handle the acre & last a long time if well cared for. I'd say the seller has more than $1000 invested, from the looks of it!

You can always offer a little less & see if he takes it!

$750 or less I'd say. Just sold a nice one for $500 last year, 1972 model.
