Posthole Digger Old Danuser post hole digger

I would like to put a oil level plug into the gearbox of my old F-Series digger. Can anyone tell me how far from the joint of the cap plate and gearbox top to the oil level where I should place the Oil Level plug? OR, can you tell me where to put it compared to the bottom of the input shaft?
