Jerry Dunn’s QA for the loader weighs a fraction of the SSQA Kubota adopted for the BX. Plus, if you use forks, any of the SSQA fork setups are very heavy compared to Jerry’s forks.
With the minimal weight of Jerry’s QA on the loader, I gain that in loader or fork capacity. I have managed close to 1,000# with my forks, carefully managed, but verified with weights calculated per paving brick. An 80-series with the SSQA won’t come close from the sheer loss in capacity due to the weight of the SSQA on the loader, the weight of the forks or loader bucket with the heavy plate adapter, and then, the distance the SSQA moves the load out.

I have a new BX2680 with the front plow setup. It is very HD, and works great for plowing snow.

I have a front blade on my BX2670. In the Midwest, I will NEVER be without one again. I absolutely love this blade with full Hydraulics. So easy to remove and put back on, too. Had a whole house genset installed last week. Had to take blade and frame off to use loader to clear area for genset. Guys wanted a path cleared in the snow to roll cart with genset into position. I said “Nope. We’ve got forks for that, and then used them to unload genset and carry to the final location. Blade went back on in 5 minutes. Why I ever bought a rear blower, I’ll never know. After four years and one pass down the driveway, I sold it for what I paid for it. Now, we’re on year five, and STILL have not seen a winter worthy of a blower. I’ll use my loader if it’s that bad.
