Well here is the Big and the Bad. I just got a 84 big red for around the house stuff. High/Low/Reverse. Dry weight is 375lbs and tow capacity is 700lbs. I am sort of a sucker for 3 wheelers. It isnt as clean as the 250r (that has been strippped and powercoated etc) but it should be a lot of fun.

Nice! Those were nice little rigs. Spent many nights dreaming of owning one when I was a kid.

my worst injury by far was on a quad, for some reason I am much more careful on a trike. And they are just more fun IMHO

Nice! I like it! You'd think Honda would at least think up a new name for their new SXS out of respect for their previous creation..

I grew up on a 1980 Honda ATC 185, then we got a 1984 BIG RED, just like in the photo. Loved it. Better than any 4 wheeler!

It really is a shame what the gummint did to the 3 wheelers... I'll take a 3 wheeler any day over a 4 wheeler... even over my Arctic Cat 700EFI... although I do have to admit... it's pretty nice too.

And, I fell asleep many many nights in my youth dreaming of having an ATC250R!!! You're a lucky dawg! I'd love to get a ride on one of those!

Nice looking machines brings back a lot of memories. I started out with a ATC 110 spent a lot of time riding it. Then got a 185S in its time that was like getting on a rocket. Then a 82 ATC 250R that was cool bike blew it up several times. I got to where I could replace the piston and jug in about 15 minutes. Then I bought a Kawasaki Tecate. That was one wicked three wheeler.

ya the R is watercooled. Keeps it from blowin up. 15 min is fast!. The tecates are nice also..Much harder to find now days tho. Parts are also scarce. If I had the property I would have all 3 250's of that era the R, Tri-Z and Tecate
