I always knew the P47 as the Thunderbolt. My neighbor took me to an EAA meeting around 1980 and the guest speaker was a WWII Thunderbolt pilot.

The NAS Oceana air show is great and has the Blue Angels. NAS Pcola Naval Aviation Musem is a vacation destination, I could spend a week in there. Stop by Joe Paddys sea food market on the way home, dang, I might need a summer road trip!
