OK to submerse FEL bucket in water?

( I think I'm gonna fill my bucket with ice/water and keep my drinks chilled for my next B-Q. that way I get to show off my tractor while we're all enjoying a "cool one". )

Use number 1023 for the FEL /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Remember to put the "Good stuff" in the backhoe bucket /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Haven't had to carry water in my bucket yet, but when I do, I'll try the trick women in West Africa use when carrying water home from the well in open cans. They stuff a small leafy branch in the can to keep the water from sloshing out. I'm sure you guys can come up with some nifty modern-day material that works even better!

Well, if it hurts something, it hasn't been evident on my tractor over the past 3 years. Yes, keep things greased. As to bucket curl, most will not come anywhere near picking up more than a 1/3 load of water - but - a hose works fine, and you can then deliver water anywhere on your property.
