So got my new to me 3000 put away, waiting until all the manuals I ordered for it come in. The seller/restorer I bought it from claims it's all new oils and filters, but I still want to go through it myself before it gets any real running time.
So, I'm thinking the manuals will be based off fluids that were available in the 60's and 70's, so I'm looking for opinions on what grades I should run in everything.
I run synthetic in all my stuff, not to increase change intervals, but for the cold starting up here. But this Ford will not be run in the winter and I'm thinking I want to stay away from synthetics in it, as they say the synthetic cleans old deposits and can cause leaks?
What's grades are everyone running in the engine and hydraulics?
