I have a B7800 with a 1505 engine. How long does it usually take for your tractors oil pressure idiot light to go out at cold start in moderate temps?

A few seconds. with the specified lube oil in all temps.

PS Is that a Polish Eagle in your Avatar?

By the time the tractor gets up to idle speed the light is out - about like a car.

Sometimes the light stays on continuous at idle. Mine goes off immediately with a slight rpm increase.

It really shouldn’t stay on. It may just be a faulty switch so hookup a temporary gauge at least and see what’s actually happening.

If you have low oil pressure a cheap repair may save you from a major engine failure.

About 5 seconds after startup. But you are in the desert - maybe it should go out before you put the key in!

Yep just a few seconds. Had a similar issue before getting no light. Replaced the pressure switch.
