oil plug came out

have new kabota tractor. was brush hoging and noticed red lite on. cleaned out in front of fan. thought maby over heating. started it and it started to smoke. then notced drain pluge gone. now i have put new oil in and it is still ticking sound from motor. what has happen????

If you lost the engine oil the main and rod bearings are gone maybe even the crank DO NOT run it anymore till you get it tore down and checked you will just do more damage

when you say new KUBOTA how new? and as peviously mentioned DOT RUN IT ANYMORE. Till you get it checked out.

while I haven't experenced it myself .I have read cases where using a group 4 or 5 synthetic oil may have provided protection for your engine.I wish you luck & hope that your engine isn't trashed

Not sounding good at all. As previously advised do not run the engine anymore until it is checked out to see how bad the damage is.

As for using a GP IV or V engine oil I doubt it would have helped much in this case. About the only thing that stands a chance of making a difference in no oil situations is a Moly engine oil. But even a Moly engine oil can only provide a certain level of protection when there is no oil to wick the heat away.

If it's brand new from dealer, maybe it's the dealers fault. Who else could have loosened the plug?

its brand new but i changed the oil after few hours of use.thought drain plug was tight.can it vibrate lose ??????
