Just out of curiosity, I checked the Yanmar number on various websites and found the following cross reference numbers for Yanmar 119660-35150, which is used on the smaller Yanmars. I would feel safer using a part that crosses verses one that "will fit".

Purolator L14459, Fram PH3593A, WIX 51334, AC Delco PF1230

Since NAPA could not (or would not) cross the number, I am staying away from them since there are several alternatives.

I stand corrected, the NAPA website now has a cross (2 actually) to the Yanmar number. NAPA (Silver) 21334 & (Gold) 1334. However, the "Gold" is just $1 less than what I pay for the original Yanmar filter.

Oops I wasn't clear. They didn't have the filters listed with grey market models, they were the non-grey Yanmar models. But if they will work on those they should work on the greys.

FYI Wix makes NAPA and Carquest filters and several other brands. The 1334 number is the one for a JD 2T and 3T Yanmar engine. There is a link on the old Yahoo club where an engineer on his own time cut apart several different filters from several different makers. He checked media, bypass, seam design , etc. He rated the WIX brand the best. OH! The WIX 51344 is the same as the 51334 but longer. Notice anything about the WIX numer vs the NAPA 1334 and 1344.

Yes maybe so. I use Wix in mine and it seems to work just fine

Wix makes the Napa gold series, not all Napa filters. Champ is the leading manufacter of oil filters including Motorcraft, AC Delco, STP, etc. The Champ cross to the Yanmar filter is S-02808. The Champ cross to my Allis 5015 is a Champ 2835, which is also the same for my GEO and my 1999 BMW 1100 motorcycle.

Interesting. I find cross references for NAPA Gold 1064 for the small Yanmars I have run across. Anybody know the difference between the 1064 and the 1334?
