Hi all I have a 2014 RZ 2448 Zero turn Huskie with a Kawasaki FR 730 v engine and I want to change the oil. The problem is that there is a hose that comes out of the oil drain on the motor and out to the front of the engine. I want to know there is a square nut like bolt on the end of the hose for draining oil that I am guessing. When I put a wrench on the end the whole hose tends to turns with it and I am afraid to break something. I have also tried putting a wrench on the end of the white metal that house the drain bolt and tried to turn it with no success and she is hard almost like it is all in one piece. Any of you have this type of draining hose?
Thanks
Gilles

Yes, I have the same motor on my GTH mower. The outlet coming out the side of the drain plug is so you can put a drain hose on to direct the oil into a waste oil container. That's the neat way :)

Me? I just pull the entire plug and let the oil drain all over the floor, the mower, and everything else. Then I spend the next hour cleaning up the mess.

I had the same system on my old husky but the new one is different. The hose is already attached to the drain hole and on the end of the hose looks like a cap that you unscrew to get the oil out. They say to use a funnel from the drain hose to a container. My problem is that the cap on the end is not coming loose when I have a wrench on it and I am afraid of breaking the darn thing. Any ideas or anyone else have this drain hose system. I don't really need to change the oil yet but it would be nice to figure out how for when I am ready. Why do they make these easy things so complicated or at least mention it in the owners manual.

On mine that cap just pulls off. Immediately just back from the end are two ears you use to turn the valve open permitting the oil to drain.

I wish I could post a pic of my oil drain hose but I can't. This pisses me off cause I have never had good luck with downloading pics on this site grrrrr.

Wow still no input on this subject I am sure someone has that oil draining hose on their Kawasaki engine which came on the 2014 Husqvarna EZ turn mowers.

The Kaw on my eXmark has a valve screwed into the block, then I attach a hose to the valve and then open the valve
Not sure it is the same set up
I think it sounds like I prefer the eXmarks set up

Mine has no valve at the block. Just a threaded hose about 14 inches long with what looks like a big nut on the end to drain the oil away from the making a mess. I want to know if that big square nut on the end unscrews or not. I had two wrenches one on the nut and the other the casing that the big nut screws on and could not move it. Maybe that is all I have to do is put more elbow power unto the wrenches but afraid to do some damge.

Sounds like you should contact Kaw or Husky, doesn't look like anyone here knows

Husky.
I doubt that hose setup is a Kawasaki thing.
My Kawasaki engines have had drain valves on the block.

That is the way it came when I bought the Husqvarna with the Kawasaki engine as an option I guess. Anyway heading to the dealer today and will stop in and ask about it. Thanks to everyone who replied. I will get to the bottom of this.

I would suggest if available looking into the block mounted valve, it works fairly well ( as long as you close it tight, ask me how I know 🤓)
You would probably need to loosen the engine from the frame to install it though

Ok came back from the dealer and sure enough it was the way I thought. He told me to use two wrenches one on the end cap and the other on the hose housing and unscrew it and the cap will release the oil that easy and clean without spilling oil all over the place. For those who are curious to what it looks like check Drainzit hose.

Yes, great invention for changing oil no mess. I will know tomorrow. I am cutting the last of my grass for the year then changing the oil and getting it ready for storage.

My 691V Kawasaki engine takes two wrenches, one to hold the hex thread on the hose and one to remove the plug.
Your statement about the hose sounded like the hose end was just crimped on round fitting. Mine is similar to what a hydraulic hose looks like but with female connector. They probably used that same gorilla that installs the oil filters to put on that nut.
