I don't know why, but I had an urgent feeling that I needed to change all my fluids and filters at 100 hours. I changed the break-in engine oil and filter at 50 hours already. I now have 150 hours on my 4530 and went ahead and ordered the full filter change kit. With it bought and paid for, I figured I would buy the oil tomorrow and do a complete service Saturday. However, I just sat down with my operator's manual and looked over the frequency chart. Nothing is due until at least 250hrs, much more for the hydraulic oils.

My question is, should I be so eager to change the oils or should I just store the filters and wait? I know you can't change it too often, but am I just wasting money at this point?

Also in case I do the change, is there any concern that the hydraulics won't purge the air once I break into it? I had a friend who had a heck of a time getting his lift to work on a Farmtrac after the hose on the suction line came loose. He ended up calling a mechanic out to do a procedure to get it bled. Is it the same with Mahindras?

Change your oil and filter....every 100 hrs after the 50 hr run-in change....Don't worry about hyd air purging...If you change it (you don't need to change the hyd fluid for about a 1000 hrs (If I remember correctly). After changing the hyd fluid/filter, operated the 3pt up/down about 10 times...same with the loader. It should purge any air that may have gotten in..Good luck with the 4530// BobG in VA
