Zen-Noh ZL-1500
Well, I turned from Green to Grey today /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.

A rather orange shade of grey with the purchase of a nice Zen-Noh ZL-1500-A, New 4' finish mower, Carry-All, Boom Pole and four 44lb suitcase weights from Cane Creek Compacts. Super nice people to deal with. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I love the sound of that Kubota 2 cylinder as it reminds me of the old JD 60 my Dad used to own.

Now I can't wait to go play some more with my new toy tomorrow morning.

One question though....Can anybody recommend a good QUIET muffler for this thing that won't affect the performance much. That cherry bomb glass pack looking muffler is a bit loud for me. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Congrats! I've switched from Orange to "Reddish Grey" about a week ago myself...with a Zen-Noh YM1510 from LMTC! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tractor Supply Co. in Asheville has a quiet muffler to fit your tractor about $25. Welcome to the grey markets. I have orange, too. Hinomoto orange. People are always asking me how I like my Kubota! What's up with that?

Michigandon...Congrats to you too on the incognito Yanmar /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Buppy69...Thanks for the tractor supply info. I'll check it out at the one in Clinton here on the east side.

I have felt the pain of ignorance too with the 1965 Military Dodge M37B1 3/4 ton powerwagon I owned. I was always asked what model of JEEP it was.

I was out playing today and set the cab and bed back on the chassis for the guy that bought the M37 from me

I need to flip the tires to the wide position make a top link holder and trim the inside of the weight bracket so the 4th weight will sit in there correctly later this afternoon.

Not for certain...but can't you just rotate your exhaust 90° and point that thing down and away from your ear?? You can on many models and it helps a bunch /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mark, Good sugestion. I just looked and this thing can only be rotated 180 straight up or straight down and I don't want it down.

It really is obnoxious loud like a Harley with drag pipes and quite frankley it really needs a muffler. I' havn't taken that muffler off yet but I'd bet it's just a hollow chamber with no baffles. I can't run at night or early morning like this as I'll have pissed off neighbors on both sides as one works days and the other works nights and I want to be respectful to them.

You can only rotate exhaust on 3 cylinder engines.

I'm just going to take your advice and get over to TSC when I get a chance and do it right.

I've been out playing all morning using it to rake up pine needles with my lawn sweeper. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
