JD4310 eHydro with bells and whistles
Look at me; posting on the JD Owning/Operating forum!

The dealer just called to inform that the 4310 arrived. I think he was as excited as I am which made the news even more fun. Now, I have to endure the wait until June 13 when I pick it up. At least the delay will give the dealership time to properly set up the tractor, install lines, the top and tilt, toothbar, etc., etc.

Remember the dog vs. cat post? I feel like Edgar my Golden Retriever: Oh, boy, a new tractor; my favorite! Oh, boy, a 660 tiller; my favorite! Oh, boy, a 4in1 bucket; my favorite! Oh, boy, eHydro and the bells and whistles; my favorite! Oh, boy, a boxblade; my favorite!.............

Bear with me TBNers. I've ghosted for upwards of 2 years, been a member since last December, fretted, stewed, contemplated, calculated, researched, imposed on many TBN experienced folks, and generally prepared for this moment for a long time! Also, will be driving the 157K Isuzu Trooper (a great vehicle) for a few more years after this purchase (have had it 10 years). And, to prove I keep everything in balance, I bought my wife a digital camera (generous of me, huh?). Oh, well, she'll get a house and a lovely place to be, made more so by this toy, 'er tool!

Wow, I'm excited. Oh, boy, my favorite!....

GEESH! I wish you'd get a little more enthusiastic over this whole thing! I just hate it when it's like pulling teeth to find out how someone feels about something! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Congratulations! Was the wait worth it? (Can we say - Dumb Question?) Now all you have to do is program the Trooper to automatically drive you to the dealer between now and the 13th so you can day dream about it while you're going back and forth!

Better make sure you get a lot of pictures with the wifes camera. I remember that that was one of the reasons you were told to get it for her!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Congrats! Don't drive too fast on the 13th, 'cause it'll probably feel like slow motion going to and from the dealer. You may be tired from lack of sleep the night before too!

Gentlemen...Gentlemen, You know as well as I that he will be seeing his baby many times before he picks it up/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Well at least I know I would/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Okay, Golfgar, unless you haven't updated your bio, you still don't have a tractor in the barn. You could probably get a 40hp variety for the price of a season's golf equipment. What do you say? Are you afraid you'll change interests and miss the links? Just wondering.

Great news! I'll bet you are sooooooo excited that you can taste it?
We all know that time will tick slowly for the next couple of weeks but believe me (as a 4310 owner) the wait will be worth it!
Congrats and good luck with your new toy (uh work horse)!
Oh and by the way... Golfgar it is time to buy your tractor

Congrats blurrybill,

It sounds as if you are going to have one lean mean green machine there. I am actually kind of surprised that it is going to take the dealership over two weeks to install the options for you though, are they maybe waiting on some parts or something?

It's actually due to my work schedule. I'm pretty booked and couldn't get away any sooner. It's a 700 mile round trip, but well-worth it, given the tremendous deal I was able to negotiate. Assuming things go well, I'll be singing the praises of my dealer and will supply any info needed within the next month for those interested.

Bob A has helped me understand that installing the 4th and 5th diverter, top and tilt, extra lines for the 4in1, etc. all take more prep time than one might expect. Hope I can learn enough to safely do the machine justice. Didn't think I'd ever have anything this nice, but I plan on someone getting a great machine in about 20 years when I'm through with it. With prices staying so high on used equipment, it just made sense to get something new, especially with interest rates as low as they are. Just wish JD matched what Kubota is doing. I have loved my LX279 17hp garden tractor, so JD seems a good fit for me.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but I'll be babbling in my sleep for the next two weeks; guess you got the overflow!

Bill,

Congratulations again..../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif. Can't wait to see you on that 4310 clearing up that building site for your new home. You see...that wait wasn't all that bad, was it???

<font color=green>"...Bob A has helped me understand that installing the 4th and 5th diverter, top and tilt, extra lines for the 4in1, etc. all take more prep time than one might expect..."</font color=green>

This is an understatement...just looking at all these options and how the dealer ran all the hoses, lines, valves, etc, it amazes me he just charged me a few hours of labor. These options are well worth it Bill and you'll soon forget about all that extra dough you spent to purchase these options. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif You'll love the 4in1 and the Top and Tilt.

<font color=green>"...With prices staying so high on used equipment, it just made sense to get something new..."</font color=green>

My feelings as well....I went to a couple of auctions last couple of years and when I saw 5 year old CUTs with 300 hours selling for the same price as new CUTs it was a no-brainer just buying new.

Look forward to seeing your new 4310 and be careful with that delivery.

Bob
