Well first I wanted to thank all the folks on this board who have provided information to assist me in the process of navgating the CUT/TLB jungle. There is lots to consider and the imput from everyone has helped me bring home a tractor I feel is right for my needs and from the moment I picked it up, I know I'm going to be happy with it.

While it is not brand new, it is my first tractor and certainly new to me! It is a 2008 L39 GST with 50 hours and it is in pristine condition! One of the things I really wanted was a hydraulic thumb and this machine had one! I changd the oil as soon as I got it home and gave it a good washing from top to bottom.

I was able to get it from a reasonably close dealer here in MA and I'm going to put a plug in the for the dealer (Ahearn Equipment in Spencer MA) because they were up front, held the tractor for me (despite a few other folks who wanted it) until I could get there, and from the owner to the slaesman, they were simply great to deal with. Even though they are 4-5 times the distance of the closest dealer, I will no doubt do my business there.

I also sprung for a LandPride box grader to help with my grading needs while I was there.

Well thanks again everybody, I can't wait to start using it!!! :D

Congrads on the new tlb, after you have a tlb everything else will seem light weight. You will enjoy the hydraulic thumb as I have found it priceless on the b26 and could only emagine what I would do if I had the bigger on like yours. Have fun and post those photo's.

Here are a couple pics of the L39.
I spent a couple of hours with it yesterday doing some light work. I removed a few 10-16" stumps, moved a few rocks (using the thumb:D), tore down an old play set and bull-dozed a few smaller dead trees just for fun. She certainly has adequate power for my needs and while I was worried it would be slightly on the large side for me, I am thrilled with its maneuverability and now that it is on the property, it seems just perfect!
Can't wait 'till next weekend!
