In the Atlanta area (and maybe statewide in GA) it's required that restaurants post the results of their latest inspections conspicuously by the entrance. A numeric score is written in large numbers in the upper right corner. A score in the 90's and you're generally good. A score in the 80's would be suspect. 70's? I'm outta there! I think it's a great practice as the report also shows the specific violations so you can make up your own mind.

A city I lived in had that requirement as well and they had to post it in a conspicuous place, like the entry foyer. A popular restaurant did poorly on one inspection so they hired a really tall kid to stand in front of the sign during business hours.

I saw a 42 score (of 100) outside of Atlanta once in a national fast food chain. A quick about face and exit. I wondered how they could still be open.

And a patron could be wearing a hazmat suit...but then he/she has to eat...right?
Then...who fixed the food, touching lord knows what.
A few years back I was washing my hands in a restaurant bathroom. I hear some kid pooping. Then out the stall door he goes...right into the kitchen. So I look through the kitchen door window...he's making hamburgers!!!!! No gloves...no hand washing...yuk!

Ever notice how even when men wash their hands in a public washroom, it's a "for show only" excercise? Can't say I was ever obsessed with watching people wash their hands, but if I think about it, I can't ever remember seeing anybody actually REALLY WASH THEIR HANDS in a public restroom. And in Chicken Wing places, where I wash my hands before and after eating, i have never seen anyone wash their hands at all, and never noticed a sink that looked the way my sink looks after I wash that sauce and gunk off my hands. Thy are always prestine and i never once saw an employee in cleaning them. Makes one think.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen anyone wash their hands for show only, although the Bible does say that was what the Pharisee’s did.
I’d say 50% of guys don’t wash hands after using a public restroom pre Covid.

Was at an Amish buffet today, had to wear mask getting food and put on plastic gloves while getting food. Food was excellent.
