OCC- Paul Sr fires Paul Jr.

I watched the Thurs. night show, Paul Jr. came back and the old man immediately started cursing him and belittling him. To me, Jr. is much more creative and tries to build more innovative bikes, Sr. wants to dress up cookie cutter machines and make more $$$ by cutting corners.
Yeah, I saw about ten minutes of the same old same old then flipped the channel.....

OOPS, I forgot it was on. It's one of those shows that I enjoy watching, but if I don't see it on the channel guide, I don't think about it.

So is Jr. back to working for Sr. again?

Yeah, Mikey just seems to be drawing a paycheck because he's a Teutel. I really have no clue what his job at OCC is.

Look at it this way... having children is a crap shoot. You can do everything right and still have a child with physical or mental issues through no fault of your own. And once you have them, you love them unconditionally, even if they are like Mikey. :)

Almost lost my coffee on that one! :D:D:D:D

I watched a few shows of OCC but I don't need to watch a bunch of nuts yell at each other in what little free time I have available. If they would just build bikes it would be interesting but the conflict, real or fake, I don't need.

Honestly, over the last couple of months I bet I watch maybe a few hours of TV a week. Maybe. My oldest kid and I are watching Babylon 5 on DVD which I don't count. We watch an episode a night. :D The show has a beginning, middle, end and runs for five years. We just started year three. :D

Speaking of bikes. On Friday 4/17 we had THREE fatalities in three different accidents in my county. First time anyone can remember such a thing. All three fatalities were bikers. One was at 1:30am when the guy ran off the road. No word if he was drunk, tired, going too fast, or tried to avoid a deer or another vehicle. The third death was a 22 year old fire fighter. A car did not see him and pulled in front of him. The third death was a young guy who was clocked doing 139 mph a few miles from our house right before the accident. I wonder if I had heard him before since I have heard a bikes really winding up on the road behind us as well as the road were the accident took place. The Law was not chasing Mr. 139 mph at the time of the accident. A car with two 19/20 year old girls pulled out on the road, they did not see him, he hit their car and died. They were seriously injured. The car burned. I hope they did not.

The same weekend a drunk driver crossed the yellow line and took out 4-5 bikers riding in a group. Two were killed with 2-3 more injured.

Not been a good couple of weeks for bikers.

Later,
Dan

Honestly I'm a big fan of the show.. seen every episode haha. I still think the bikes they build are incredible, and seeing them in person at the new shop a few days ago brings out all the little details not seen before, and makes them even better. I would also have to say that I like the whole family aspect, including the arguing in the show. But I agree I would likke to see more of the building of the bikes, like it was in the first seasons. Bottom line however, wether or not you like the show or the Teutuls, is that we all have to give them credit. To go from building bikes out of your basement to where the company is today is an incredible accomplishment and they're obviously doing something right. I think the company will make it...

There is real life then there are "reality" shows.

Having watched plenty of the early shows, Big Paulie had done pretty well in spite of himself before being discovered. If I understand the story correctly, the first time that he was contacted to do a TV show, he hung up the phone, ha!

I do not wish them ill in this economy. I hope whatever real life endeavors they are into continue to thrive. I do think though that the show has run it's course.

That, my friends, was the reality in the days before there were reality shows.
