O RINGS ON 400X LOADER SLIPS DOWN PISTONS

ANYONE RUN INTO THE O-RINGS THAT ARE ON EA. OF THE LOADER HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS SLIPPING DOWN THE PISTON AS IT COMES OUT OF THE CYLINDER ? DOES IT ON ALL. SEEMS IT NEEDS TO STAY INTACT TO KEEP DIRT OUT OF THE CYLINDER. ASK MY DEALER BUT HASN'T GOT BACK WITH ME. THANKS FOR ANY REPLIES

Could be that the o-ring is only there for assembly/protection during the painting process. Check the exploded views in the parts manual (should be on line at deere.com). If that's the case, no worries /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Those O rings are simply there for painting purposes I am told.

PS kill the capitals, it's way to hard to read your posts, many folks will skip right over posts in capitals, I usually do.

Correcto!!! If they were to serve any other purpose, they wouldn't be painted green (as mine are, also). Agree on killing the caps---generally, caps means you're shouting.

I have the same thing on mine, but they are painted orange. Sounds like the different mfg's use the same technique
