KIOTI NX5510 Cab HST with Backhoe
Recently bought a used NX5510 with Ag tires set at the widest setting. Measures 81.5 inches in the rear (loaded Ag tires). never had Ag tires before they do tear up the ground when wet but only turned on 4 wheel drive once, this things appears to go almost anywhere in 2 wheel drive something I am not used too. In the manual it shows 3 or 4 settings for Ag tires. Does anyone know how to chance the stance to make it a little narrower? I like the width but was looking to see what the next one down would be and also how to get it, the numbers in the manual don't match what I actually measured. Just considering it since most of my implements are 6ft. It has a backhoe so I could raise the rear tires off the ground and pick them up with another tractor if I need to move them. Wouldn't be fun but I think it could be done
Thanks for any help

Usually the measurements are to the center of the tread,
your rims should have mounting tabs with bolts that attach to the rim centers.
The mounting tabs are not centered in the rims, so tabs inside or outside the centers get you two spacings,
flip the rims around and inside or outside get you two more spacings,
the flip the center dishes in or out and repeat.

View attachment 573211 Tigershark - your page on tire width should look somewhat like this one out of my Op manual. There are actually eight different widths that the tires can be set to. My tires on my Kubota are set to max width and fortunately done at the dealership. Each of my rear tires is filled with RimGuard - 750 pounds - plus the weight of the tire and rim - I would estimate each tire weighs 1000 pounds. Not something I am prepared to deal with. Your rear R-1 tires are just one notch smaller than mine.

I think the width measurements listed in my manual are center of tire to center of tire - not outside to outside.

I would sure want to narrow the width of my tractor for some very serious reason. Not just a whim. You will, by narrowing the rear tread, be decreasing the stability of your tractor to some extent.

oosik,

Thank you for the picture and advice, I do have the manual but the picture shows an outside measurement of 76 I believe, it doesn't clearly say that it is a center measurement the way the picture comes across it looks like an outside. I know it is set to the widest setting I was told that from the previous owner and it barely fit on the trailer when we picked it up 82 inches wide. I was just curious what the next one down would be. I bought a 6 ft grader box 2 months ago so I'm guessing I am going to have to sell it for a loss and get a 7ft since I have 15000 ft of driveway to maintain. The 6 ft tiller isn't an issue but grading and maintaining the driveway would be with a 6ft box. I have friends with tractors so taking the loaded tires off wouldn't be impossible but would be a pain.

Please note!

Tractors do NOT HAVE STANCE!

They have tread width or track width. Row crop tractors have row width.

Kid's cars have stance.

If you want into the club, You must speak the language.
