Tractor
Kioti, kubota
I decided to make a real fast simple belly pan for my NX 5510 , main concern was the fuel line and outlet on the bottom of the tank. I could have just cut enough to cover just that area but decided for now to make it cover from side to side. The loader braces that run under the tractor to the rear on a NX have the left side lower than the right side due to the fuel tank, so I let the left side set on top of the loader brace while the right side stayed below. I secured it with four large U-bolts one on each corner around the loader braces, also I removed two of the tank skid plate nuts and installed thread couplers to thread two bolts in to give a bit more support to the part under the tank.

Thanks , I may change the way it mounts later , just have to see what I decide to do about the backhoe subframe. Still debating on buying one from the dealer or adapting the one I used for the kubota to fit this tractor.

Have you considered not getting a backhoe while selling the hoe you have and purchasing an excavator?

CB, what material did you use for the belly pan? Looks like it might be 5/16" thick! Did you make a template, e.g., out of cardboard, to ensure accurate cutting and drilling? Looks very professional. But, then, I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that you are a professional.

At one time I had considered looking at a excavator but now no more than I use the back hoe I just can't see spending the money for digging out one or two stumps a year or digging a few holes a year. Now if I was going to be using it very much, then yes I would have one, be worlds faster and more convenient.

I used 3/16 thick aluminum plate , I was going to use some 1/4" I have until I remembered having this piece. I just took some basic measurements and started with a square then trimmed it down to my final size. Once I got it close I put it in place and held it up with a floor jack, then used a black sharpe to mark any final trimming and holes for the u bolts.

Can you make me one for the NX6010? I forgot which tractor you have... Is that aluminum?

Yes it's aluminum, had just enough left over from a project at work.

I made comments in another thread, but figured it might be better to tag it here as it's a direct fit.

As noted in another thread, I know someone that might be talked into doing a production run. They do stuff for the automotive sector, so this would be a slightly different project. I've got a note in to the owner to see if he'd be interested. It sounds like they'd need a run of at least 300; I have no idea whether there's that many NX folks out there that would be interested. I'm one who would be interested: the less I have to worry about breaking stuff the more work I can get done!
