Well, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who gets/has gotten calls wanting $.
I gave $ to them once, and it was solicited by a phone call. I guess that permanently moved me to the "he gives via phone call" list. I'm probably responsible for my own demise with the NRA
At the time, their sales pitch was something along the lines of "act now, or we may lose our gunrights forever....." Now, it seems every call states the same thing.
As Soundguy said, I won't make this thread political, it wasn't my intent when I started it and it isn't today...I know our gunrights are in trouble, but geesh louise, do I have to get calls each and every day?
I don't mind emailing congressmen, writing letters to senators, etc. I've done that many times before. I like letting my representatives know that I'm watching what they are doing and am concerned at how they are voting, it makes me feel good and that's worth the postage/time/effort
The next time they call, instead of hanging up, I'm going to ask to speak with someone that can permanently remove me from their call list. I don't mind the mail, so I'll leave that alone.
As for Wayne Lapiere's salary, he has an extremely high profile job, meets with some of the most powerful men in the nation and is on the same "team" as I am. I feel his salary is commensurate with his profile.
