That was a real intersting story and pics.
My land is part of what used to be Camp Fannin. It was a WWII Army training base and I own rifle range #4. I've found a few trincket and scrap, but nothing like that.
Across the creek from me and about ten years ago they found two army tanks. One was just sitting there with a cable connecting it to the other one. The other one has a very large tree growing up through the middle of it. LOL
They took out the good one and left the one with the tree.
The story is that one of them got stuck while driving along the creek. They brought in another to pull it out and it got stuck too. So the Army just left them there.
There is also another piece of land not too far away with a HalfTrack sitting on it. The previous owner knew all about it and showed it to a friend of mine. Than he died and after probate and selling the land, the trees grew up around it and hid it from view. It's been 20 years now that it's been sitting there since anyboyd has seen it. The new owner of the land isn't very friendly from what I was told, so my friend changed his mind about telling him about it.
