Dealer Now I'm totally confused - can I trust the dealer?!

I was quoted ~$1400 for an 18" backhoe bucket two years ago, by the dealer.
It was really supposed to be $795 or so. The problem was that if you price it as an add-on to a machine you are building, you get charged for both the QA system and the bucket. If you find just the QA bucket in accessories, you only pay for the bucket.
The dealer adjusted his price downward when I showed him his error, but if I hadn't complained, he would have gladly charged me too much.
The JD web site is confusing & hard to use IMHO.
Be sure something like this isn't happening to you.
